LEAP Wiki

The LEAP Wiki allows clients, staff, certified consultants and IT Partners to collaboratively create, modify and organise web page content about LEAP products, services and requirements. Everyone with access is invited to participate to make the Wiki as useful as possible. It works in much the same way as the Wikipedia but we believe that the editing and adding page functions are a little easier.

The Wiki belongs to everyone who uses it. The only rule is that common sense should prevail.

Getting Around
Just like the Wikipedia, you can search, you can browse using the menu in the Sidebar, and you can click-through whenever a word is highlighted in blue. All standard browser functionality works.

Discussing a topic by posting a Message
If you post a message it will be available for any user to respond to. Please note that LEAP does not undertake to respond to any message within any timeframe.

Editing a Page
Anyone with access to the WIKI is entitled to Edit a Page. If you edit a page, users who have subscribed to RSS feeds on that topic will receive advisory emails. Otherwise, any other user is entitled to update and comment on your edits. Instructions for Editing a Page are available here.

Adding a Page
Anyone with access to the WIKI is entitled to Add a Page as well. If doing so, please consider carefully where the most appropriate position is for the new page, and what links should be created for users to access the page. Instructions for Adding a Page are available here.

Products
Each LEAP Products has its own pages and these are listed in the left sidebar.

National HelpDesk
This LEAP Wiki replaces all LEAP manuals and the online product help. It does not replace the National HelpDesk functions and initially at least, the Knowledge Base will continue to work through the National HelpDesk Portal. If the Wiki gains widespread acceptance then LEAP might move all Knowledge Base articles into it. The Wiki provides information for you to discuss and resolve issues online. LEAP does not undertake to respond to any message within a given time frame and contractual service levels do not apply to the LEAP Wiki.

Malicious Content
As all users will be identifiable as there is an audit trail of all changes we think it very unlikely that any malicious or inappropriate content will be published. However, if it is, the content will be removed and the user will be banned from using the Wiki and that fact will be published on the Homepage.
